I have installed Mint 9 on my Dell Inspiron n3010 and it does seem to recognize neither my network nor my wireless card. As such, I have no.

I recently bought a new Dell Inspiron 3552 laptop (marketed as 'Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Ubuntu', running an Intel N3050 CPU) and decided to install Linux Mint 17.3 on it. The installation went well, although I did encounter 3 annoying hardware issues. In this thread I will document the problems and add the solution as well.
----------
Issue 1: Non functional touchpad
Launchpad #1542435
The built-in touchpad was not responding during the LiveCD session, and it remained that way after the completion of the Linux Mint installation.
Solution: echo 'blacklist i2c_hid' | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
Reboot.

Issue 2: Constant WiFi drop-outs, loosing the WiFi connection/signal (chipset: Realtek RTL8723BE)
Launchpad #1542426
The built-in WiFi modem did work, although the connection would drop every 10-15 minutes into the session. A system restart provided a temporary fix.
Solution: echo 'options rtl8723be fwlps=N ips=N' | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/rtl8723be.conf
Reboot.

Issue 3: Bluetooth modem (chipset: Dell Wireless 1801 / RTL8723BE) can't find devices
![Dell inspiron 1564 Dell inspiron 1564](/uploads/1/2/7/8/127801926/666341494.jpg)
The built-in Bluetooth modem seems to work, it can be toggled on and off, and Blueman detects in- and outward traffic, but no devices can be found during scanning. Bluetooth visibility of the Mint machine doesn't seem to work either.
Solution: none so far...
The proposed solution in the articles below didn't work at my machine (both the GIT-make and the PPA solution).

I hope anyone can supply me with a fix for my Bluetooth issue.
Also, it would be great if all of the above fixes can be added to newer versions of Linux Mint (>17.3). I have no oversight if the drivers for my hardware are already in the new Kernel 4.x, as that might fix the issue altogether. I currently use Kernel 3.19.0-32-generic.
Thanks for any help!
